Description
This is a simple pen to date, as it features the first generation serial number (shorter and in a different font), so it’s from 1991-92. This was a time of change for the LeGrand and this example is particularly interesting as it features details from both eras – the pen is the later bi-tone version, whereas the solid ink window and split ebonite feed come from the previous generation.
The pen is fitted with a 14k bi-tone fine nib and it’s a piston filling pen, which means that bottled ink is your choice here.
The important details are as follows…
– 14k Bi-Tone Fine Nib
– IZODS Presentation Box
– Serial Number markings present
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
