Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 164 Classique Czar Nikolai I Vermeil Ballpoint Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer) information booklets and unstamped service guide. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition.

The Czar Nikolai writing instruments are one of the most famous offerings from the past 30 years and were produced from 1997-2002.

They were available in two versions, vermeil and platinum plated. This is the vermeil (gold-plating over sterling silver) version and when contrasted with the vibrant green malachite cap, it really is a writing instrument. Malachite was chosen for this pen because it was the stone of the Russian Czars. The appropriate Germany and serial number markings can be found on the clip ring.

The pen is fitted with a new refill.
