Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc 146 LeGrand Ramses II Vermeil Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and information booklets. The pen was only dipped to test and is presented in virtually as new condition. The clip to hold the pen in place in the presentation box is broken, which isn’t uncommon from this era.
The Ramses II writing instruments are one of the famous offerings from the past 30 years and were produced from 1995-2002.
The Vermeil barrel (gold-plating over sterling silver) works perfectly with the lapis lazuli cap, which is finished with flecks of gold. These pens were released as a tribute to the legendary pharaoh, Ramses the Great, who ruled in the 13th Century. Lapis Lazuli was used, as it was known to be one of the Pharaoh’s favourite stones.
Serial number, Germany and Metal3 markings can be found on the clip ring.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The important details are as follows…
– Medium Nib
– Virtually As New Condition
– Standard Montblanc Presentation Box
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
