Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 146 LeGrand Bordeaux Resin Fountain Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been carefully used and is presented in overall lovely condition – there is a small spot of rhodium-plating loss on the nib (shown in the photos). The right tine on the nib is maybe a fraction of a millimetre lower than the left, but we’ve fully write tested the pen and it’s a lovely writer.

We’ve always been a huge admirer of the Bordeaux resin writing instruments and sadly as these were only produced for a limited period of time. This pen is straightforward to date, as it includes the first generation serial number (shorter and in a different font), placing it between 1991-92.

The pen is fitted with a 14k fine nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
