Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Brothers Grimm Pen which comes with its book-style Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped booklet – confirming first purchase on 5th July 2022. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition – the F sticker, denoting a fine nib, remains on the cone. Only 9800 were produced and this is number 0970.

Every year since 1992 Montblanc have released a Writers Edition and in 2022 they honoured the Brothers Grimm, renowned for their beloved 19th century folk tales. The shape of the pen is modelled on the hiking stick, with the colourscheme chosen to reflect the darkness of the woods, which usually served as the backdrop for the Brother’s folklore. The waved pattern on the cap and barrel are a nod to Rapunzel’s hair and also tree roots. The clip is shaped like a piece of knobbled wood, but when rotated it shows an image of the Brothers Grimm in profile.

The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
