Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this exceptionally rare Montblanc Writers Edition Agatha Christie Press ‘Emerald Eyes’ Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (a little bit of wear to the outside) and personal service card. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition – the M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the barrel.

 

 

 

Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 1993 it was Agatha Christie.

 

 

This is the extremely rare ‘Emerald Eyes’ version, with only 120 produced (this is number 048)… they were produced for a select number of journalists and important Montblanc VIPs. The sterling silver serpent clip has eyes that are set with emeralds rather than rubies. The cap features the engraving ‘Press 048’. This is very rare part of Montblanc history, with the Agatha Christie already being a legendary release, but with these example taking its status many stages further.

 

 

 

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
