Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 146 LeGrabd Bordeaux Vermeil Fountain Pen, which comes with a Montblanc presentation box (a couple of small marks to the lining). The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition – the M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the barrel.
We’ve always been a huge admirer of the Bordeaux resin writing instruments and sadly as these were only produced for a limited amount of time, firstly in the early 80’s and then for a second time in the 1990’s – they’re now more difficult to find, with most examples looking pretty tired.
This is the even rarer Vermeil cap version, with it having a base of sterling silver, which is then gold-plated. The clip ring features serial number, Metal and Germany markings.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The important details are as follows…
– Virtually As New Condition
– Medium Nib
– Montblanc Presentation Box
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
