Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this legendary Pilot Namiki 80th Anniversary LE1918 Shisen Shikin Urushi Lacquer Fountain Pen, which comes with its large lacquered presentation box, ink, writing paper, envelopes and leaflets. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition. Only 1918 were produced and this is number 1093.

Released in 1998 to celebrate Pilot’s 80th Anniversary, this is a pen that has many similarities to the later Namiki Yukari Royale. The barrel and cap are finished with multiple layers of urushi lacquer, with this anniversary edition having a wide cap band that is decorated with the shijin (four gods) using the togidashi maki-e technique. The four heavenly animals depicted are the Dragon, Phoenix, Tiger and XuanWu.

This is a beautiful set and the pen has a fantastic place in Pilot’s history.

The pen is fitted with an 18k broad nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) filler, so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
