Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this glorious Classic Pens CP5 Parker Duofold Celebration Vintage and Modern Fountain Pen Set, which comes with a Parker presentation box (including outer). Neither pen has been used and they’re presented in virtually as new condition – there was a tiny ‘whisper’ of blue ink when we checked the pens, but this will have simply been from the final inspection prior before first sale.

Classic Pens were renowned for working with premium pen manufacturers and creating special versions in sterling silver. These are the CP5 pens, which were released inconjuction with Parker and they represent both the modern and vintage (the version launched in 1987) Duofold Centennials. The ‘Vintage’ is engraved with a circular guilloche moire pattern engraving, reminiscent of the Golden Age of machine engraving. The ‘Modern’ has a fishnet pattern which at the time of release was seen as the most advanced style of engraved design. Engraved on the cap band is the Parker and CP5 logo along with the limitation number – only 1888 were produced with the modern being 0565 and the vintage being 0566.

Each pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and they’re cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
