Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Writers Edition Robert Louis Stevenson Fountain Pen, which comes with its book style Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped information booklet – confirming first purchase on 29th September 2023. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition. Only 1000 pens were produced and this is number 5321.

 

 

 

Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2023 it is Robert Louis Stevenson, known for novels such as “Treasure Island” and “The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde”.

 

 

 

The design of the pen is inspired an extendable spyglass, which is a note to his adventures and pirate stories. The pirate theme continues, with the Montblanc snowcap featuring a skull and crossbones. The cap top ring is engraved with ‘Under the wide and starry sky’ which is mirror written.

 

 

 

 

The pen is fitted with an 18k double broad (BB) nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
