Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this rare Nakaya Portable Cigar Mizu-iro Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden presentation box (including outer) and pen kimono. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition.

Nakaya require no introduction and if you’ve got this far then likely you’ll be familiar with their wonderful writing instruments.

The pen is hand-turned from solid ebonite rod stock and finished with multiples layers of urushi lacquer. The Mizu-iro finish is now discontinued by Nakaya and predated the equally difficult to find Ama-iro. It has an almost pastel blue tone, with the tiniest hint of green… it’s absolutely stunning!

The pen is fitted with a 14k soft medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) pen, so your choice here is bottled ink.
