Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Rudyard Kipling Writers Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box and stamped booklet – confirming first purchase on 10th February 2019. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition (a couple of tiny marks to the presentation box). Only 9800 were produced and this is number 4964.

 

 

 

Launched in 2019, as the yearly offering for the Montblanc Writers Edition, the Kipling takes its inspiration the legendary ‘The Jungle Book’. The shape of the pen is a nod to the story by Ankus in the second jungle book, with the colour scheme reflecting the cover the book’s first U.S. edition. The design of the clip reflects the wolf pack, with the beginning and end of the poem “If” being engraved on the cap top and cone ring. The cap is engraved with Kipling’s initials, R.K.

 

 

 

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
