Visconti Homo Sapiens Midnight in Florence Limited Edition Fountain Pen

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Visconti Homo Sapiens Midnight in Florence Limited Edition Fountain Pen. It comes with Visconti presentation box (including branded outer) and paperwork – confirming first purchase on 25th March. The pen has only been lightly used and is presented in excellent condition – there is a little ink staining on the piston seal, but this is simply mentioned for a complete description. The presentation box is, as always with Visconti, a delight. The nib on this one was a special request from the first owner, so it’s a 14k fine Van Gogh Maxi (amongst other non LE Visconti’s) single tone style version.

The Midnight in Florence is a limited edition of only 888 pens and this is number 232. As the name suggests, the name was inspired by when darkness falls across Florence (the hometown of Visconti). The city takes on a different feel, with the darker grey, blue and purple tones becoming more obvious than in the daytime when the city basks in sunshine.

The barrel features ribbons of shaved acryloid, which is suspended in clear resin – with the cap having the same colour palette in a wonderful navy blue resin.

The pen features the patented double reservoir power filler – you simply unscrew the end of the barrel, pull up the rod, place the nib in an ink bottle and push the rod back down to fill! It’s one of our favourite filling systems and the ink capacity is huge.
