Visconti Divina Proporzione Desert Spring Celluloid LE Fountain Pen

 

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this glorious Visconti Proprozione Desert Spring Celluloid Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been carefully used over the years and is presented in overall excellent condition.

 

 

 

 

The Proporzione Desert Springs is a limited edition of only 1618 pens and this is number 0574. Taking its inspiration from the Divine Proportion of 1:1.618 (also known as the golden ratio), the design is truly something to behold.

 

 

 

 

This was the second of the Divina series, released in 2008. The barrel and cap are crafted from wonderful Desert Springs celluloid, with which takes its name from the appearance of water in the desert. On these early Divina pens, you also get a small ink viewing window.

 

 

 

 

The pen features a simple ‘touchdown’ style filler – you simply push the button at the end of the barrel, pull up the rod, place the nib in an ink bottle and push the rod back down to fill (wait a few seconds to fill and repeat 2 or 3 times for a complete fill)! It’s one of our favourite filling systems.

 

 

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib.
