Visconti Divina Proporzione Burlwood Celluloid Limited Edition Fountain Pen

 

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this glorious Visconti Proprozione Burlwood Celluloid Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has been carefully used over the years and is presented in overall excellent condition.

 

 

 

The Proporzione Burlwood is a limited edition of only 1618 pens and this is number 1573. Taking its inspiration from the Divine Proportion of 1:1.618 (also known as the golden ratio), the design is truly something to behold.

 

 

 

This was the first of the Divina series, released in 2007. The barrel and cap are crafted from wonderful OMAS burlwood celluloid, with the angled inlayed lines being sterling silver. On these early Divina pens, you also get a small ink viewing window.

 

 

 

The pen features a simple ‘touchdown’ style filler – you simply push the button at the end of the barrel, pull up the rod, place the nib in an ink bottle and push the rod back down to fill (wait a few seconds to fill and repeat 2 or 3 times for a complete fill)! It’s one of our favourite filling systems.

 

 

 

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib.
