Visconti Desert Spring Celluloid Fountain Pen

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this glorious Visconti Desert Spring Celluloid Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Visconti presentation box (including outer) and information booklet. The pen has barely been used and is presented in overall fantastic condition – there is a small amount of upwards movement (if you move it) in the cap when it is attached, but it attaches securely.

Taking its inspiration from the Divine Proportion of 1:1.618 (also known as the golden ratio), the design is truly something to behold.

The barrel and cap are crafted from wonderful Desert Springs celluloid, with which takes its name from the appearance of water in the desert. The trim is rhodium-plated.

The pen features a simple pull and turn fillling system – simply pull out the small rod found at the end of the barrel, then then turn anti-clockwise to empty and clockwise to fill from bottled ink.

The pen is fitted with a 23k Palladium fine nib.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
