Romain Jerome / Lepine Titanic-DNA Limited Edition Fountain Pen – UNUSED

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Romain Jerome / Jean Pierre Lepine Titanic-DNA Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large presentation box and information booklet. The pen has never been inked and is presented in fantastic condition.

This is an incredible and extremely large pen! Romain Jerome and Jean Pierre Lepine are known for creating incredibly detailed watches and also writing instruments. This is the Titanic-DNA version, paying tribute to the legendary ship, and with a central barrel band that is made from a blend of material reclaimed from the actual ship and steel from the Harland & Wolff shipyard, where the Titanic was built.

This is a very detailed pen, with the cap being shaped like the vent of an ocean liner. It has an opening where you can view the nib, which is engraved with the silhouette of the Titanic. The barrel has multiple portholes, where you can see the piston mechanism and remaining ink level. You can also see inside a propeller and this turns along with the steerage needle found at the end of the barrel. Screws, similar to the rivers of the Titanic, fix the various parts together – one of these is missing on the barrel, but it doesn’t cause any issue with the pen.

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
