Pelikan M700 Toledo Fountain Pen - UNUSED

1 in stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this lovely Pelikan M700 Toledo Fountain Pen, which comes with it’s presentation box (including outers) and information document. The pen has never been used and is presented in as virtually as new condition.

The M700 Toledo takes its name from the Spanish town of the same name, which is known for its historic fame for the art of decorating engraved patterns in to metal. Pelikan introduced the Toledo in 1931 and the design has remained virtually unchanged since then. Instead of the historic use of Damascus steel, the Pelikan Toledo has a sleeve made of sterling silver. The process takes a number of steps to produce the gold-coated finish that we see on the finished pen. Each one is unique, because the tiny engravings are made by hand. Because of the work involved, Pelikan can only produce 200 pens per month.

The pen is fitted with an 18C medium nib and a with other Pelikan’s, this is a piston filler. If you’d like a size comparison, then the Toledo is the same as the M400, making it 12.5cm with the cap on and 14.7cm with the cap posted.

The important details are as follows…

– 18c Medium Nib

– Pelikan Piston Filling System

– Pelikan Presentation Box

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
