Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Pelikan Souveran M481 Demonstrator Fountain Pen, which comes with its Pelikan presentation box (including outer). The pen has never been inked and is presented in fantastic condition – there are some small spots behind the piston, but we found absolutely no traces of ink, and we believe these to be where the mechanism was originally greased and it’s been stored over the years.

Produced between 1983-85, the M481 was an export version of the M200. The Demonstrator version was simply known as the ‘Pelikan Demonstrator’ but it shares the same features as the model designated as the M481. The pen is crafted from clear resin, with the trim being gold-plated – around the main cap band are engraved the words ‘Pelikan W.Germany’

One of the fantastic features of Pelikan pens is that the nib unit can be unscrewed – this makes it both incredibly simple to clean and you can also change nibs in seconds!

The pen is fitted with a 14c medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
