Pelikan 101N Lizard Celluloid Nickel Trim Fountain Pen – VERY RARE

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this legendary Pelikan 101N Lizard Celluloid Nickel Trim Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. This is the one of the best examples we’ve sold, with the celluloid being in fantastic condition – the cap rings do move if you turn them, but they’re not loose.

This pen is a Pelikan legend and musn’t be confused with the moden reissue. This is an original, pre Second World War example, with the much rarer nickel trim – these are barely documented in Pelikan history. First issued in 1938 and continuing to the beginning of thr 1950’s, this pen has the earlier style cork seal algon with the stepped section (the later pens had a straight section).

The full lizard-effect celluloid really is a pen that has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The cap top features the wording Pelikan DRP, Pelikan DRP.

The pen is fitted with a 14C broad nib and being a piston filler, your choice here is bottled ink. The piston mechanism is very smooth and fills exactly as it should.

The important details are as follows…

– 14c Broad Nib

– Piston Filling System

– izods Presentation Box

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
