Parker Duofold Mandarin Limited Edition Fountain Pen

1 in stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Parker Duofold Limited Edition Mandarin Fountain Pen, which comes with its Parker presentation box (including outer) and paperwork – also included are the four original black ink cartridges (likely dried out). The pen has been carefully used and is presented in very good condition – there is a thin (but stable) crack at the base of the cap and this is shown in the photos. This doesn’t effect the pen, but it is offered at a very special price, because of that.

Parker have a long, rich heritage of creating impressive writing instruments and the Duofold range is at the heart of this. With its incredibly detailed production process, including 130 components and 100 quality control tests.

The Mandarin limited edition was released in 1995 and only 10,000 were produced – this is number 00856. The cap has three solid gold rings and the barrel is engraved with the name George S. Parker, along with the original style Lucky Curve ribbon. The cap crown is engraved with the words “Parker Duofold Mandarin”.

The colour pays tribute to the original Duofold Mandarin from the 1920’s. It’s origins come from the fact that George S. Parker purchased a Cloisonne vase in Japan, whilst travelling in the far east. Upon his return, he realised that this colour could be an excellent addition to the Duofold lineup!

The fountain pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) filler, so you have the best of both worlds.

The important details are as follows…

Condition: Very Good

Box: Parker

Nib: Medium

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
