Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Parker Duofold Centennial Cloisonne Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Parker presentation box (including outer), bottle of ink, card and booklet. The pen has been carefully used over the years and is presented in overall lovely condition – there is a light ink ring mark visible on the cap (common on these and shown in the photos). Only 3900 were produced and this is number 2342.
Parker have a long, rich heritage of creating impressive writing instruments and the Duofold range is at the heart of this. With its incredibly detailed production process, including 130 components and 100 quality control tests.
Released in 2006, the Cloisonne pays tribute to the Mandarin Yellow pens on the 1920’s and 30’s. The vibrant yellow barrel features an engraved imprint, which mentions George S Parker, who originally had the idea for the 1927 Mandarin Duofold after purchasing a yellow vase on a trip to China. The crown has a stylised vase design, created using the Cloisonne technique.
The fountain pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) filler, so you have the best of both worlds.
The important details are as follows…
Condition: Lovely
Box: Parker
Nib: Medium
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
