Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Parker Centennial Black Gold Trim Fountain Pen, which comes with its Parker presentation box (including outer) and information booklet – confirming first purchase on 28th April 1992 – the date code on the cap of IIIQ confirms a production period of Q1 1990. The pen was owned by the same person from new and appears to have barely been used, it’s presented in wonderful condition – one of the hinges on the box moves about 1cm, but this doesn’t cause any issue with opening and closing the box.
Parker have a long, rich heritage of creating impressive writing instruments and the Duofold range is at the heart of this. With its incredibly detailed production process, including 130 components and 100 quality control tests.
The barrel and cap are crafted from black resin with the trim being gold-plated.
The fountain pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) filler, so you have the best of both worlds.
The important details are as follows…
Condition: Wonderful
Box: Parker
Nib: Medium
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
