Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this delightful Omas Princess Arco Verde Celluloid Fountain Pen, which comes with its OMAS presentation box. The pen has never been inked and is presented in overall lovely condition – even the original price tag still remains attached to the pen. There is a little bit of wear to the gold-plating on the top of the cap and the cap rings.

OMAS require no introduction and since their sad demise in January 2016, the hunger from fans and collectors for great examples of their writing instruments has increased dramatically! The company was founded by Armando Simoni and the full name was Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni, abbreviated to OMAS.

The Princess was the smallest offering in range, with it measuring only 10cms when capped. They have an elegance and simplicity that only a manufacturer like OMAS could have achieved.

Arco Verde celluloid requires no introduction and is arguably the most sought-after pen material on the planet, alongside Arco Bronze. With its myriad of green, vlack and almost white tones, it’s a material that simply has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The trim is gold-plated. The greek key design can be found on the cap and the year marking of 1997 is on the grip section. The cap top is finished off with its green silk tassle!

The pen features a piston filling mechanism, so bottled ink is your choice here. It’s fitted with an 18k medium nib.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
