Omas Istanbul un Fethi Limited Edition Vermeil Rollerball Pen

Out of stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Omas Istanbul’ un Fethi Limited Edition Rollerball Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been regularly used, but is still presented in overall lovely condition. Only 453 were produced and this is number 159.

OMAS require no introduction and since their sad demise in January 2016, the hunger from fans and collectors for great examples of their writing instruments has increased dramatically! The company was founded by Armando Simoni and the full name was Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni, abbreviated to OMAS.

From the series called “Masterpieces Down the Centuries”, this pen commemorates the conquest of Constantinople in 1453. The cap and barrel are finished in a black lacquer, with the two medallions representing the city and Mehmed II, with the top of the cap bearing his inscription. The domed end to the barrel is representative of the dome of Hagia Sophia. The trim is sterling silver, which is then gold-plated. This is a very substantial writing instrument.

The pen is fitted with a black rollerball refill.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
