Omas 75th Anniversary Extra Lucens Black Gold Celluloid LE Fountain Pen

Out of stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this rare Omas 75th Anniversary Extra Lucens Black Gold Celluloid HT Trim Fountain Pen, which comes with its large lacquered OMAS presentation box (including outer) and information booklets. The pen has been very lightly used and is presented in excellent condition – there are a few small marks on the outside of the presentation box. Only 1000 pens were produced and this is number 0736.

OMAS require no introduction and since their sad demise in January 2016, the hunger from fans and collectors for great examples of their writing instruments has increased dramatically! The company was founded by Armando Simoni and the full name was Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni, abbreviated to OMAS.

The 75th Anniversary pens were released in 2000 and were available in a variety of models and finishes. This is the Extra Lucens version, with this model being known for its transparent barrel – the finish is achieved by inserting celluloid elements of the same colour as the cap in to channels inside the clear barrel – it creates an extremely eye-catching effect! The cap and piston cone have myriad of black, orange and gold tones.

The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

The important details are as follows…

Condition: Excellent

Nib: Fine

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
