Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Nakaya Portable Cigar Maki-e Goldfish III Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden presentation box (including outer) and pen kimono. The pen has never been used and is presented in as new condition.

Nakaya require no introduction and if you’ve got this far then likely you’ll be familiar with their wonderful writing instruments. This is the extremely rare Goldfish III model – the goldfish are depicting in silver using the Shu kin technique. Their scales and fins are drawn using gold powder, with the eyes being silver and black. The bubbles and aquatic plants are expressed with Maki-e techniques.

The pen is fitted with a 14k medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) pen, so your choice here is bottled ink.
