Nakaya Dorsal Fin Ver.2 Midori-Tamenuri Fountain Pen – DIPPED

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this delightful Nakaya Dorsal Fin Ver. 2 Midori-Tamenuri Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden presentation box (including outer), pen kimono, converter cartridges. The pen was only dipped to test and is presented in esssentially as new condition. This model always has an incredibly long lead-time, so this is the perfect way to avoid the anxious wait!

Nakaya require no introduction and if you’ve got this far then likely you’ll be familiar with their wonderful writing instruments. The Dorsal Fin Ver. 2 is one of the most distinctive and striking models that they create.. it can take up to a year to produce! It’s angular shape is not only eye-catching but extremely comfortable. The pen is hand-turned from solid ebonite rod stock, which then has multiple layers of lacquer applied, before finally being finished with natural urushi resin – the process takes many months and the finds are created by the application of the lacquer. The green elements on this pen are really beautiful!

The pen is fitted with a 14k broad nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) pen, so your choice here is bottled ink.
