Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montegrappa Ducale Murano Sea Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montegrappa presentation box and information booklet. The pen has been very lightly used and is presented in fantastic condition.
The original Ducale pens were launched in the 1930s, as the high-end Elmo line writing instruments. The name comes from the famous Doge’s Palace in Venice. The Murano element refers to the antique glass making tradition.
The barrel and cap are crafted from glorious resin, which features myriad of blue, cream and black tones. The trim is rhodium-plated.
The pen is fitted with a medium steel nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
The important details are as follows…
Condition: Fantastic
Box: Montegrappa
Nib: Medium
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
