Montegrappa Antonio Canova Limited Edition Fountain Pen

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montegrappa Antonio Canova Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large wooden Montegrappa presentation box (including outer), polishing cloth and stamped information booklet – confirming first purchase on 7th December 2018. The pen has been very lightly used and is presented in overall fantastic condition. Only 260 were produced and this is number 067.

The Canova is part of the Genio Creativo series, honouring the world’s greatest artists, writers and thinkers. Antonio Canova (1757 – 1822) was a renowned Italian sculptor, known best for his work in marble. The cap, grip section and piston cone and crafted from black resin, with the trim being bronze. The real star of the show is the marble composite barrel, which depicts his famous sculpture The Graces, or “Grazie”. The clip is shaped like a pleated drape, which Canova used to clad his models.

The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib. It uses the Montegrappa ratchet piston, so your choice here is bottled ink.
