Montblanc Writers William Shakespeare Limited Edition Fountain Pen – UNUSED

Out of stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc William Shakespeare Writers Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its book style Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped information booklet – confirming first purchase on 15th August 2016. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition – the M sticker, confirming a medium nib, can still be found on the barrel. Only 8700 were produced and this is number 1624.

Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2016 it was William Shakespeare.

The colour scheme of the pen takes its inspiration from the broad scope of Shakespeare’s work, from comedies to dark dramas – hence black and white resin. The flags raised above the Globe theatre, were also either black or white, depending on the play. The white barrel has an engraving reminiscent of a quill and the clip is a nod to the gold earring the Shakespeare wore in his famous portrait by Chandos.

The octagonal shape of the cap recalls the Globe Theatre.

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and being a piston filler, your choice here is bottled ink.
