Montblanc Writers Edition Leo Tolstoy Ballpoint Pen – UNUSED

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Leo Tolstoy Writers Limited Edition Ballpoint Pen, which comes with its book style Montblanc presentation box and information booklet – confirming first purchase on 28th October 2015. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition. This was originally part of a set and is number 228.

Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2015 it was the legendary Russian author, Leo Tolstoy – famous for works such a “War and Peace” and “Anna Karenina”.

The design of the pen takes its inspiration from the Tolstoy’s family home. The pillars at the entrance of the estate are depicted by the shape of the top of the cap. His philosophy of working the land is symbolised by the handcrafted, hammered silver-plated barrel.

The dark grey resin cap and mottled blue elements are a nod to the colours used on the covers of his first major works. The design on the cap ring is inspired by a traditional woven Russian pattern.

The pencil is fitted with a new refill.
