Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Franz Kafka Ballpoint Pen, which comes with its Montbanc presentation box (including outers), polishing cloth and unstamped booklet. The pen has barely been used and is presented in fantastic condition. Only 16500 pens were produced and this is number 15078. We’ve lightly polished the sterling silver elements, we can polish this further to remove any remaining patina if preferred.

 

 

 

Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2004 it was Franz Kafka.

 

 

 

 

The barrel and cap are crafted from a semi-transparent dark red resin, with the trim being sterling silver. The design is inspired by his most famous work “The Metamorphosis”, with the the tapered barrel making this one of the most interesting designs from the series.

 

 

 

The pen is fitted with a new refill.
