Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Daniel Defoe Ballpoint Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped booklet – confirming first purchase on 11th February 2025. The pen was an retail display pen and is presented in overall fantastic condition. Only 18500 were produced and this is number 08523 – the outer labels on the boxes are a mismatch, with the boxes stating 06524.

Launched in 2014, as the yearly offering for the Montblanc Writers Edition. The Defoe takes its inspiration from his famous novel ‘Robinson Crusoe’, which was released in 1719. The barrel and cap are crafted from a swirling brown and black resin, with the clip being shaped like a feather, which is a nod to ‘Poll’ his parrot. The shape of the pen reflects the shape of the boats paddle draft. The pattern on the rings are a reproduction of the pattern used on the first edition of the book.

The pen is fitted with a new refill.
