Montblanc Writers Edition Alexandre Dumas Autograph Pencil - UNUSED

1 in stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Alexandre Dumas (Father) Writers Limited Edition Autograph Set Mechanical Pencil, which comes with its book style presentation box (and large outers), facsimile hand written note and stamped paperwork – confirming first purchase on 6th February 2011. The pencil has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition – two of the little clear plastic corners holding the note have come away slightly. Only 9000 pencils were made and this is number 6409. The 0.7mm leads sticker remains on the barrel.

These Autograph Sets are extremely rare, with only a fraction of the 9000 pencils being presented in this way.

Launched in 1996, as the yearly offering from the Montblanc Writers Edition, the Alexandre Dumas is one of the most famous offerings from the Writers Edition series. Alexandre Dumas was one of the most famous novelists and playwrights of the 19th Century. He wrote more than 300 novels, with two of the most recognisable being “The Three Musketeers” and “The Count of Monte Cristo”.

In our opinion, this is one of the most richly detailed of all the Writers Editions, with the shimmering barrel and cap offering a wonderful contrast to the almost dark brown resin. The gold trim works perfectly and the distinct sword shaped clip, makes this such a handsome writing instrument.

The important details are as follows…

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
