Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 J.P Morgan Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its lacquered presentation box (including outer) and information booklet, even the original receipt is included – dated 8th July 2004. As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 0127.

In 2004, Montblanc honoured the legendary financial magnate, John Pierpont Morgan. The design takes its inspiration from the age of the industrialisation. The barrel and trim are crafted from sterling silver, with the cap being finely woven carbon fibre. The Montblanc snowcap emblem is crafted from mother-of-pearl, a feature rarely utilised by Montblanc!

The 18k medium nib features a large M, not only reminiscent of Morgan himself, but of his iconic Morgan library ! It’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

This is one of our favourite recent Patron of Art releases and it’s an incredibly detailed and striking writing instrument!

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
