Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 Homage to Napoleon Bonaparte Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its complete set of presentation boxes and paperwork. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition – the protective tap remains on the grip section and clip. As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 1579.

In 2021, Montblanc honoured the legendary political and military leader, Napoleon Bonaparte. The barrel and cap are finished with a navy blue lacquer, adorned with a bee design. The blue represents Napoleon’s uniform, with the bees diconnecting from Bourbons and linking to Merovingiens. The clip takes its inspiration from a blade, with the red stone paying homage to Josephine’s coronation ring.

The 18k medium nib has a fin engraving of Napoleon wearing a bicorn hat. It’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
