Description

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 Friedrich II Fountain Pen, which comes with its lacquered presentation box (including outer) and booklet. As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 1616. The pen has been very lightly used and is presented in overall fantastic condition.

In 1999, Montblanc honoured the Prussian King, Friedrich II the Great. The pen is gold-plated and features two rings, which are embellished with a curved pattern. This edition is one of only two of the Patron of Art series (the other being the 2006 Henry Tate) to feature the ingenious retractable nib mechanism.

The 18k medium nib features an engraving of the Royal monogram of “Fredericus Rex” and it’s a cartridge only filler.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
