Montblanc Patron of Art Friedrich II 4810 Fountain Pen – UNUSED

£1,645.00

Out of stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 Friedrich II Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and booklet. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition – the M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the cone and empty demonstration cartridge can be found inside the pen. As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 3127.

In 1999, Montblanc honoured the legendary Prussian King, Friedrich II. This is one of only two POA pens (the other being the Henry Tate). to feature the ingenious retractable nib mechanism, found more commonly on the Boheme pens. As such, this is a cartridge only pen.

The gold-plated barrel and trim have an elegant simplicity, with a richly decorated band on both the cap and base of the barrel.

The 18k medium nib features an engraving of the signet Fredericus Rex, as a tribute to the monarch from whom the pen takes its name.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
