Out of stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 Friedrich II Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with a standard Montblanc presentation boxes (including outer). The pen has never been inked and is presented in wonderful overall condition. As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 3156.

In 1999, Montblanc honoured the legendary Prussian King, Friedrich II.

This is one of only two POA pens (the other being the Henry Tate). to feature the ingenious retractable nib mechanism, found more commonly on the Boheme pens. As such, this is a cartridge only pen.

The gold-plated barrel and trim have an elegant simplicity, with a richly decorated band on both the cap and base of the barrel.

The 18k fine nib features an engraving of the signet Fredericus Rex, as a tribute to the monarch from whom the pen takes its name.
