Montblanc Patron of Art Elizabeth I 888 Fountain Pen – UNUSED

£5,395.00

Out of stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 888 Elizabeth I Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large lacquered Montblanc presentation box (some small marks to this). The pen has never been used (the protective tape is still on the grip section) and is presented in virtually as new condition. Only 888 were produced and this is number 490.

In 2010, Montblanc honoured one of the most famous monarchs in history, Elizabeth I.

The lacquered finish to the barrel and cap is modelled on her royal garments, with the Tudor rose and the cross of the crown, being found on the cap. The clip is finished with a green cabochon. The snowcap is crafted from mother-of-pearl, which is always a wonderful addition to any Montblanc pen.

The design of the pen also gives a nod to her childhood, with solid rose-gold engravings of the artistic embroidery from “The Glass of the Sinful Soul”, which was a book that Elizabeth designed at the age of 11.

The 18k medium nib has an engraving of the royal crown. It’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
