Montblanc Noblesse Gold-Plated Ballpoint Pen - Rare Triangle Logo

1 in stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Noblesse Gold-Plated Ballpoint, which comes with an izods presentation box and Montblanc soft pouch. The pen has been regularly, but carefully used over the years, and is presented in overall very good condition.

This is an extremely rare example, as it features the white triangle logo instead of the usual snowcap emblem. When Montblanc were looking to make further inraods in to the burgeoning Saudi Arabian market, back in the 1970’s, they believed that the iconic snowcap logo was too similar to the Star of David. In their wisdom, they then decided to change the logo to a white triangle – so for an extremely brief period Montblanc launched their pens with the triangle, before significant backlash from both the Israeli and Saudi sides brought this to a swift halt. It seems incredible that a multi-national, such as Montblanc, would have made the change in the first place and as such these Triangle pens now find themselves with a rather interesting place in Montblanc history. These pens even baffle many Montblanc boutiques, who have never seen or heard of them.

We’re huge fans of the early Noblesse writing instruments, both for their simple yet elegant design and also for their comfort when writing.

The important details are as follows…

Condition: Very Good

Box: izods

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
