Montblanc Monte Rosa 042 Fountain Pen

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Monte Rosa 042 Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has been carefully used over the years and is presented in lovely condition – there is a little bit of wear to the gold-plated trim.

The Monte Rosa pens are from an era when Montblanc produced myriad of models at different price points and for specific target markets. Manufactured during the 1950s, the Monte Rosa was at the time at lower-end model, but time has shown these to be delightful writing instruments. The barrel and cap are crafted from black resin, with the trim being gold-plated. The Monte Rosa name is engraved on the cap and 042 is heatstamped on the piston cone – this model had a steel nib, with the 042G having a gold nib.

The pen is fitted with a fine steel nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
