Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 147 Traveller Bordeaux Vermeil Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box and leather pouch. The pen has been bery lightlyused and is presented in fantastic condition (there is a small mark on the clip, which is shown in the photos) – the M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the barrel.

The 147 Traveller, if you’re not familiar with it, is a LeGrand (146) sized fountain pen, but the filling system is cartridge only. It’s a very clever design, as to load the cartridges you simply unscrew the end of the pen, which then reveals an internal metal holding cage, where you can then slot in the cartridges.

This is a particularly rare version, as not only is it crafted from Bordeaux resin but it also has a vermeil cap (gold-plating over sterling silver). This really is a wonderful combination and is very rarely seen for sale.

The clip ring features both serial number and Germany markings.

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium bi-tone nib and it’s a cartridge only filler.
