Montblanc Meisterstuck Solitaire Doue AG925 144 Classique Fountain Pen

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck Solitaire Doue AG925 144 Classique Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer), polishing cloth and stamped service guide – confirming first purchase on 20th March 2004. The pen has been carefully over the years and is presented in overall lovely condition. There a few small marks on the gold-plated ring by the nib, this is very common on the 144s. The M sticker, confirming a medium nib, can still be found on the barrel.

As mentioned, this particular pen is the rarer solitaire doue version, which features a wonderful pinstripe design on the sterling silver cap. In my opinion these solitaire doue pens elevate the usual look of the standard resin offerings to another level. The intricate pinstripe detailing is beautiful and the gold trim provides a brightness but at the same time never a brash look.

The pen features both Germany and serial number markings. Also on the clip ring is the word METAL2 which was used by Montblanc for Doue and Solitaire pens. You’ll find these on several Montblanc pens including the Nikolai and it denotes the shade of gold plating – 1 being the lightest and 8 being red gold.

Being a Classique, this is a cartridge / converter (supplied) pen and it’s fitted with an 18k medium bi-tone nib.
