Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this rare Montblanc Meisterstück 146 LeGrand Solitaire Silver Barley Guilloche Doue Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box and stamped service guide – confirming first purchase in 2013. The pen has been carefully used over the years and is presented in overall lovely condition – there are some small marks on the snowcap emblem (shown in the photos).
The Silver Barley doue is one of the rarest non-limited edition Doue offerings and was only available for a limited period of time.
The cap is crafted from sterling silver, which is then engraved with an intricate guilloche design. The barrel is produced from the traditional black reisn, which is then has the same guilloche design engraved in to it.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The serial number can be found on the clip ring.
The important details are as follows…
– Medium Nib
– Lovely Condition
– Montblanc Presentation Box
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
