Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck Gold Line 146 LeGrand Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer), warranty card and unstamped booklet . The pen has barely been used and is presented in wonderful condition.
This is a simple pen to date, as it features the first generation serial number (shorter and in a different font), so it’s from 1991-92. This is also backed up by a number of other features on the pen.
The 146 is a piston filling pen, which means that bottled ink is your choice here.
The pen is fitted with a 18k bi-tone medium nib, so its original sale would have been in the French market – this is backed up by the warranty card.
The important details are as follows…
– 18k Bi-Tone Medium Nib
– Montblanc Presentation Box
– Serial Number markings present
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
