Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 146 LeGrand Barley Gold-Plated Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer – some wear to this). The pen has never been inked and is presented in fantastic condition.
The pen is crafted from brass, which is then gold-plated – it is engraved with a delicate barley pattern. It’s an easy pen to date as it has the first-generation serial number (shorter and in a different font) along with W.Germany clip ring markings, which confirms this as a 1991-92 pen.
The 146 is a piston filling pen, which means that bottled ink is your choice here. It’s fitted with an 18k bi-tone fine nib.
The important details are as follows…
– 18k Bi-Tone Fine Nib
– Montblanc Presentation Box
– Serial Number present
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
