Montblanc Meisterstuck Gold-Coated 149 Fountain Pen

1 in stock

Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück Gold-Coated 149 Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has been regularly, but carefully used, and is presented in overall lovely condition.

The pen features a 14C bi-tone oblique medium (a very slight oblique) nib and first generation plastic feed. It’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink – we’ve serviced the mechanism, so it’s extremely smooth.

We’d suggest that this one has been serviced at some point, as the nib style and cap font date it to no later than 1985, but the clip features the first generation serial number (shorter and in a different font), so it will be between 1991-92. It also has the first generation plastic feed, which supports this theory.

The important details are as follows…

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
