Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück Doue 146 LeGrand 75th Anniversary Limited Edition 1924 Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen has been carefully used over the years and is presented in overall lovely condition.
The 75th anniversary pens were released in 1999 to commemorate 75 years of the Meisterstuck range (launched in 1924). There were two main editions available, one being the unlimited yellow gold ‘special edition’ pens and then the rose gold ‘limited edition’ pens, of which only 1924 examples were produced (this is number 0151). This is the red gold limited edition with the sterling silver cap.
To distinguish these anniversary editions from the usual offerings, you’ll find a second gold band around the top of the clip, in which is mounted a diamond and the inscription ’75 years of passion and soul’ – with the diamond being the ‘o’ in passion. The cap also has the ever desirable mother-of-pearl snowcap.
The pen is fitted with an 18k fine (slightly towards an EF) nib (the 75th anniversary nibs are wonderful!) and being a LeGrand it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
